TV watchers who want something new to chew through are in luck.
Vice’s critically acclaimed lifestyle and culture channel Viceland will launch in New Zealand on Sky later this year and will offer shows covering music, fashion, sports, culture and technology.
The channel, which is overseen by Oscar-winning director Spike Jones, promises to deliver thought-provoking and off-kilter TV show options.
Its line-up includes docuseries Gaycation, which is hosted by Inception actress Ellen Page and Ian Daniel and examines gay communities and how they’re treated around the world.
F*ck, That’s Delicous features rapper Action Bronson sharing his love for food as he goes on tour (warning: video contains explicit language).
And Noisey, a series that takes a deeper look into some of the most interesting music scenes in the US and around the world, hosted by Zach Goldbaum.
Other shows include Huang’s World with Eddie Huang, Weediquette with Krishna Andavolu, Balls Deep with Thomas Morton, Women with Gloria Steinem, States of Undress with Hailey Gates, Cyberwar with Ben Makuch and more.
Viceland will be available on Sky later this year, a specific launch date has yet to be confirmed.
